That is the ratio on this profile, and it is the single most misread number in link building proposals.

Reading the panel

Traffic runs at 13,600 organic sessions a month from 8,100 ranking keywords, 456 of which hold a top three position. The profile carries 373,000 backlinks from 1,000 referring domains, scoring a Domain Rating of 53. Ahrefs values the traffic at $14,100 a month, across the year to April 2024.

Growth over that year is steady rather than dramatic, from roughly nine thousand sessions to thirteen and a half.

Why the ratio matters commercially

A backlink is one link. A referring domain is one website, however many links it sends.

Three hundred and seventy three links from one domain is almost always sitewide placement: a footer credit, a supplier directory entry repeated on every page, a partner badge in a template. Google treats those close to how you would expect, which is as roughly one endorsement, not three hundred and seventy three.

This is why a proposal quoting backlinks rather than referring domains is telling you very little. Twenty thousand backlinks can be forty domains. Two hundred referring domains is a materially stronger profile than fifty thousand links from a hundred sites, and the second number is the one that gets put in the pitch.

It is also why this site's SEO packages count deliverables rather than links.

A quiet category, and a matching result

Eight thousand ranking keywords in industrial manufacturing is a lot of terms for a category where buyers are few and purchase cycles are long. Fifty per cent growth across a year is a reasonable outcome in that setting, and the absence of a dramatic curve is not underperformance.

The traffic value of $14,100 against 13,600 sessions is just over a dollar a visit, which sits well above consumer retail and well below regulated professional services. B2B industrial is priced in the middle because the buyer is rare but valuable.

What the panel cannot show

Whether any of it produced a quotation request. In a category where a single order can be worth six figures, the relationship between sessions and revenue is so loose that traffic is close to useless as a standalone measure.

The audience spreads across the United States at 78.1%, the United Kingdom at 7.3%, Italy at 2% and Spain at 1.4%, which is a mild international profile but not a deliberately targeted one in the way the AI platform here is.
