Print Design and Signage Artwork in Qatar

Print or menu design, QAR 1,600. Up to 8 pages or panels, print-ready, bilingual.

Signage or vehicle wrap artwork, QAR 1,800. Design only, print-ready files, supplier liaison included.

Exhibition booth graphics, QAR 4,200. Full booth artwork package, print-ready.

Design only, and the printer is yours

Rankly designs. A local Doha supplier prints, fabricates and installs.

That split is deliberate, not a limitation. Print brokerage is a different business with different margins, and an agency marking up your printer's invoice is adding cost without adding judgement. You deal with the printer directly, you see their price, and the artwork arrives in exactly the format they asked for.

Liaison with your supplier is included in the signage and booth prices, because the specification conversation is where these jobs usually go wrong.

What it covers

Why files get rejected at the printer

Most print problems in Qatar are not design problems. They are file problems, and they surface at the worst moment.

  • Colour set for screen rather than press

A design built in RGB looks correct on a monitor and prints muddy. Files here are supplied in the colour space your printer specifies, with spot colours called out where the brand needs exact matching.
  • No bleed

Artwork that stops at the trim line produces a white sliver when the guillotine drifts a millimetre. Three millimetres of bleed costs nothing to include and is the commonest rejection.
  • Images at screen resolution

A logo pulled from a website looks fine at 400 pixels wide and falls apart on a two-metre roll-up.
  • Fonts not embedded or outlined

, so the printer substitutes something else and nobody notices until delivery.
  • Large-format artwork built at full size

instead of to scale with the correct proportions, which produces files nobody can open.

These sound like small things. They are the difference between a job that prints once and a job that prints twice.

Signage in Qatar, practically

Shopfront signage here carries requirements that catch people out.

  • Bilingual is usually expected and often required

Arabic and English on the same sign, with the Arabic set properly rather than squeezed in beneath the English at whatever size fits. An Arabic reader notices immediately, and so does a landlord or an authority reviewing the application.
  • Mall and landlord specifications

are frequently stricter than any municipal rule: fixed dimensions, permitted materials, illumination limits and approval processes. Get the specification before design starts rather than after, because redesigning to a spec you were sent late is a second job.
  • Approvals take time

Whoever fabricates your sign will know the current process, which is another reason the printer relationship stays with you.
  • Heat and light are real constraints

Materials and adhesives that behave in a temperate climate do not always behave through a Qatari summer, and your supplier will advise on that better than any designer.

Exhibition booths, and the Qatar calendar

Qatar runs a heavy exhibition calendar, with Project Qatar and Hospitality Qatar among the recurring fixtures, and booth graphics are a predictable seasonal cost for anyone exhibiting.

The booth artwork package at QAR 4,200 covers the full graphic treatment: back wall, side panels, counter, any hanging elements, and the pull-up banners that go with them. It does not cover the stand structure, which comes from your stand builder, or the printing and installation.

Two things worth knowing. Stand builders supply templates with their own dimensions and safe areas, and those templates should arrive before design starts. And the deadline is the deadline: exhibition print runs do not flex, so a booth booked six weeks out should be briefed at five instead of at two.

What is excluded

  • Printing, fabrication and installation

Billed to you by your supplier, at their price.
  • Photography

Not shot by Rankly. Existing images get prepared and improved for print, and where new photography is needed a local shooter is recommended.
  • Copywriting

, unless agreed in the brief.
  • Arabic translation

Arabic typesetting and layout are included. Translating the words is referred out.
  • Licensed stock imagery and fonts

, quoted separately and billed at cost. Large-format use sometimes needs an extended licence, which costs more than the standard one.
  • Permits and approvals

, which sit with you and your fabricator.

How it is delivered

Artwork comes from the production network with Arbaz briefing and reviewing it, so a single person answers for what lands on your printer's desk.

Every designer passes a paid test brief before client work. Any job carries two revision rounds. After that it is QAR 350 a round, agreed in advance, and the source files transfer on final payment. There is no studio in Doha and no claim to one.

The numbers

What this costs

Service QAR
Print or menu design, up to 8 pages or panels 1,600
Signage or vehicle wrap artwork 1,800
Exhibition booth graphics package 4,200
Brand identity with collateral, including signage and wrap artwork 11,500
Additional revision round 350

Published Qatar rates for print design run roughly QAR 300 to 1,200. These sit above that, and the difference is a senior reviewer, a fixed revision count and files prepared to survive a printer's preflight. For a single business card, the cheap end of the market is genuinely the right purchase.

Prices for the other lines sit on the pricing page.

Fabrication has the longest lead time here, so send the specification or the stand template early, even before the artwork is decided.

Questions

Questions we get asked

Can you work to my printer's template?

Yes, and please send it first. Every printer has preferences on bleed, colour and file format, and building to theirs from the start avoids a round of corrections.

Do you design menus?

Yes, at the QAR 1,600 print price, bilingual, and prepared for both print and the photo specifications delivery platforms ask for.

What if my logo is low resolution?

It gets rebuilt as vector where that is possible, and where it is not you will be told before the job starts. Scaling a low-resolution logo onto a shopfront is the most visible version of this mistake.

Can you recommend a printer in Doha?

Recommendations can be made, with no commission taken either way. The relationship and the invoice stay yours.

How long do exhibition graphics take?

The constraint is almost never the design. It is the stand builder's template arriving and the print run's cut-off. Brief early and the rest follows.

What the printer needs from you

Say what needs producing, what size, and who is printing it. If you have the printer's specification or the stand builder's template, send that too.

The printer's specification or the stand builder's template saves a round of corrections, so send those if you have them.
