The Highest Top Three Ratio in the Set

Five hundred and forty one terms in the first three results, out of four thousand seven hundred ranking. That is better than one in nine, against roughly one in thirty six on the dental project and one in forty on the menswear one.

Reading the panel

Organic traffic is 9,700 sessions a month from 4,700 ranking keywords, 541 of them in the top three. The profile holds 442 referring domains and 3,200 backlinks for a Domain Rating of 37, and Ahrefs values the traffic at $9,900 a month. Six months to April 2024.

Over that half year traffic went from roughly three thousand to nine and a half.

Why the ratio is the interesting number

A high proportion of top three positions means the site is ranking for terms it deserves to rank for, rather than appearing at position thirty for thousands of things it has no real claim to.

That is the signature of tightly matched pages: a service page per service, written for the query somebody actually types, instead of one page listing everything the business does. It is also what makes traffic durable, because a page that genuinely answers a query is harder to displace than one that scraped its way onto page three.

The traffic value bears it out. Nine thousand seven hundred sessions carrying $9,900 is just over a dollar a visit, which for a home services category means the terms are commercial ones rather than informational reading.

The nearest comparison to a Qatar trade

A renovation contractor in Doha has the same structural problem as this one: a handful of services, a defined service area, a small number of high value enquiries a month, and competitors who mostly have a single page saying they do everything.

The winning shape is the same. A page for each service that answers the question properly, a properly built map profile, and honest coverage of where you will and will not travel. That is what the local SEO page sets out, and the profile work there matters more here than anything on this panel.

What the panel cannot show

Enquiries or won work, which for a contractor is the only number that counts. Nine thousand sessions on a renovation site might be forty quotation requests or four.

The audience is 95.8% United States and, as with everything here, the six month window is short enough to flatter the rate of change.

Where a contractor should start

Not with content volume. With the service pages you already have, the map profile you probably have not finished, and the question of which services are actually worth ranking for.
